PIYAPS GATES SUPPORT FOUNDATION AND B&D COMPACT ESTATES AND PROPERTIES NIG. LTD PRESENT THE 4TH EDITION OF CHIEF AMB. BAMNAN DAWAM PEACE AND UNITY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AND 600 WIDOWS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
The PIYAPS GATES SUPPORT FOUNDATION, in partnership with B&D Compact Estates and Properties Nig. Ltd, successfully hosted the 4th Edition of the Chief Amb. Bamnan Dawam Peace and Unity Football Tournament 2026, alongside the 4th Edition of the 600 Widows Empowerment Program, in Pankshin South, Plateau State. This landmark event was a resounding success, making history in the local government area.
Under the leadership of Chief Amb. Bamnan Dawam, the foundation organized a thrilling football tournament finale, which ended in a goalless draw between Manchester Fc of Longkat and Wujam Boys of Kwallah, with Wujam Boys emerging victorious 5-4 on penalty kicks. The event also empowered 600 widows with essential goods, including food items, pomade, and detergent, embodying the foundation’s motto: “Empowering Women and Widows, Transforming Communities”.
In his address, Chief Amb. Dawam expressed heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for His blessings and guidance. He reiterated that his efforts are driven by a sense of purpose, not personal gain, and urged the widows to remain strong and prayerful. He emphasized that he is not a politician and has no intention of contesting for any office, but is committed to empowering the less privileged and widows, promoting unity and peace in the community.
Through his foundation, Chief Amb. Dawam has been a beacon of hope for many, providing educational support to numerous students, including orphans, by paying their school fees and engaging others in vocational training and skills development programs. He has also facilitated opportunities for young people to showcase their football talents, providing a platform for them to develop their skills and pursue their passions.
The foundation’s goal is to engage youth in positive activities, and this year’s tournament was a testament to that. A friendly football match between Pankshin North and Pankshin South selected teams was played, promoting unity and togetherness among the youth.
Chief Amb. Dawam also danced with the widows, celebrating life and God’s faithfulness. Dignitaries, including HRH Nda SUNDAY DAJEP (11), the Second-in-Council of Mihchip Chiefdom, friends, and business associates, attended the event.
Chief Amb. Bamnan Dawam appreciated everyone’s presence and prayed for a continued journey of unity and progress.
